The Orissa Pisciculture Development Corporation is the only public sector undertaking in the Fisheries Sector of Government of Orissa, incorporated during 1998 after amalgamation of two corporations named - The Orissa Fish Seed Development Corporation Ltd. & The Orissa Maritime Chilika Area Development Corporation Ltd. The main aim of the Corporation is to carry on business of the pisciculture, to deal with fish net webbing and to supply fuel and lubricants to fishing vessels at the nearest possible points.
