Bhubaneswar, dated the , 21st, July, 2005.
No. 7Fy. Sch. 22/2004- 11327 /FARD., In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (a) and (b) of sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Orissa Marine Fishing Regulation Act, 1982 (Orissa Act 10 of 1982), the Government having regard to the matter referred to in sub-section (2) of the said section do hereby regulate, the fishing in the area and during the period as specified in columns (2) and (1) and, the use of fishing gear as specified in column (3) of the table below, by allowing the persons engaged in fishing by using traditional non-motorized fishing crafts such as catamarans, country crafts and canoes and prohibit fishing, in the area so specified, by motorized vessel and mechanized fishing crafts for the period specified in column (1) and also prohibit the use of fishing gear made by seine nets (ring nets) along the entire coast throughout the year.

From the 1st. November of a calendar year to the 31st May of the next calendar year.

Within five kilometers of the seaward distance in the specified Olive Ridley Sea Turtle congregation namely:-
· Devi River Mouth (Keluni Muhana to New Devi Nasi island North).
· Rushikulya River Mouth (South of Prayagi to North of Aryapalli).
· Dhamara River mouth (Short’s Island to Udabali).

Multifilament gill nets of a length less than three hundred meters with mesh size below one hundred and forty millimeters and twine diameter of 0.7 millimeters and monofilament gill net of above dimension with twine diameter of 0.5 millimeter.
The distance between two pieces of net should have a gap of two hundred meters.
