The activities of the Department are supported by financial outlays in the non-plan and plan budget of the State Government supplemented by the funding support received from the Central Government under Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Central Plan Schemes & Revised Long Term Action Plan for KBK districts. In addition the Department also gets financial assistance from Ministry of HRD, Government of India under STEP (Support to Training and Employment Programme) for woman. Further funds are also received from      SGSY infrastructure and ITDA infrastructure. The Department tries to ensure that there is a convergence of funds under different schemes for growth of Fishery and Animal Resources Development Sector.
